KEVIN’S STORY:
From the time I was a young boy in Kansas City, I can remember being immersed in the hair industry. I always loved spending time at my aunt and uncle’s salon in the Plaza. I watched them work and learned a lot about what it takes to run a successful salon. As I got older, I eventually moved to New Jersey. As a teenager who played soccer, I always loved giving haircuts to all of the guys on the team. Eventually I decided to turn this interest in hair into a career, and I was fortunate enough to get an apprenticeship on Madison Avenue in New York City. The years that I spent cutting, coloring, and styling hair in some of the top salons in NYC and working for some of the best names in the industry, including John Sahag and Peter Coppola, shaped my knowledge and expertise in hair. Eventually, I took my skills and used them to cut wigs in various communities in Brooklyn. More recently, I opened up my own barbershop for men.
